Music plays from the computer speakers. Daddy's sitting on the couch looking at playing cards and Andrew's attempting to make coffee without his contacts in. Mom's working a crossword in the chair across from me. Amanda and Serena are at war with cards. I think Serena's winning. Chris is watching them and texting his girlfriend Jaime [please note that is pronounced Hi-may].
The morning is loud and fun, something you don't quite get anywhere else. It's the feeling of being at the beach that pulls you up earlier, gets you to go out to eat breakfast, and come back to a home that isn't yours with sand coating the floor and ceiling fans on high to play cards before lounging on the beach, in the scorching sun, cold water lapping at your feet. I won't ever understand it. Vacations bring families closer together. I like it. (:
I got up early this morning to take pictures of the sunrise. It was beautiful.
